Houses
1st House - The first house represents appearance, self and individuality. The beginning of the 1st house, or the cusp, is the ascendant. Aries and Mars are the rulers.
2nd House - The second house represents anything to do with money; spending and saving it and what you buy with it. Taurus and Venus are the rulers.
3rd House – The third house represents thought, intellect, learning, communication, siblings, neighbors and short trips. Gemini and Mercury are the rulers.
4th House – The fourth house represents family, home, parents and ancestors. The Imum Coeli is the cusp, or start of, the 4th house. Cancer and the Moon are the rulers.
5th House – The fifth house represents romance and courtship, along with entertainment, amusement, pleasure, creativity and children. Leo and the Sun are the rulers.
6th House – The sixth house represents diet and fitness, health, daily routine, employees, pets and helping others. Virgo and Mercury are the natural rulers.
7th House – The seventh house represents partnerships; marriage, business, agreements, and rivals. The cusp is the descendant. Libra and Venus are the rulers.
8th House - The eighth house represents shared resources, taxes, inheritance, insurance, recycling, sex and regeneration. Scorpio, Mars and Pluto are the rulers.
9th House – The ninth house represents publishing, legal issues, higher education, philosophy, in-laws, religion, overseas. Sagittarius and Jupiter are the natural rulers.
10th House – The tenth house represents career, accomplishment, status, reputation, authority. The cusp is the Midheaven.
11th House – The eleventh house represents social aspects; friends and acquaintances, organized clubs and associations, along with homes and wishes. Aquarius, Saturn and Uranus are the rulers.

Quadrants
1st Quadrant - 1st, 2nd and 3rd houses. The first stage of personal development begins though self, possessions and environment.
2nd Quadrant –4th, 5th and 6th houses. The second stage of personal development starts through the family, children, pets and health.
3rd Quadrant - 7th, 8th and 9th houses. The third stage of personal development continues through relationships, socialization and intellect.
